Hungry for some flat bread? Maybe a cold beer to go with it? That’s what Cadillac Pizza Pub is counting on.
This small and intimate New York style pizzeria on south Kentucky in historic downtown McKinney has delicious food and a good vibe. If you doubt it just check out the upcoming live music schedule. These folks aren’t messing around.
Exposed brick walls, music playing at a conversation friendly volume, four ceiling fans to keep you comfortable, and 3 flat screens for the sports nut. What’s not to like?
Twelve different brews are on tap. Just check out the chalkboard on the south wall for the entire selection. The menu is a nice and simple front and back slate that packs a punch if you’re hungry for woodfired pizza, salad, or a good sandwich.
The service is awesome. We asked the server for suggestions and she didn’t hesitate. One Jimmy’s Pizza Pie coming right up. It’s for the jalapeno lover in us all. She also recommended Ma’s homemade meatballs as a starter – and we’re glad she did!
You can get pita chips and fire roasted hummus dip for crying out loud. You can even build your own pizza. And if the kiddies are in tow – no worries, mac and cheese is available.
On the north wall near the entrance/exit is a lighted sign that says ‘LIVE” with a guitar. At first glance I thought it said Elvis. Remember him? This place feels as edgy as he was. And I think he might have liked the food. Just sayin’.
The music is some of the best in downtown McKinney. It gets a little packed, but somehow I don’t think anyone minds.
And for the runner, yes, I said runner – Cadillac Pizza Pub has started a new tradition, the Caddy Run. You can find out more on their Facebook page.
This McKinney pizza place rocks!
Update: 23 June 2013
We had a great time during our first visit to Cadillac Pizza Pub. And since we were hungry for incredible food (which is always) I took the family back.
Today we ordered the Greek Gyro, The Italian, and The Texas Caprese.
Have you ever eaten past the point of being full just because the food tastes so good?
And the service? Once again, amazing.
Ellese made some outstanding drinks for us from the bar. A magnificent Top Shelf Margarita for the lovely Mrs. Ray and a cold Franconia Wheat for yours truly.
Amber waited on us, was at the table within seconds after we were seated, took our order, and in less than ten minutes our food was served.
If you haven’t tried this little gem of a bar and grill in downtown McKinney’s historic square, you don’t know what you’re missing.
Did I mention they have free wi-fi? Be sure to check out the live music, too.
