With spring time here in full force, it’s time to enjoy a beautiful afternoon or evening on one of McKinney’s great patios. I’ve put together a list of our favorites so you can get your patio on!
Churchill’s Restaurant and Pub
Situated at the corner of Louisiana and Tennessee in Historic Downtown McKinney, Churchill’s is the perfect perch for people-watching on a sunny Saturday afternoon. You can enjoy a drink from their extensive selection of beer, single malt scotch or Irish whiskey, or if you can’t decide try a flight of whiskey to find your favorite.
Enjoy your drink with a Scotch egg or fish and chips and you’ve got the perfect weekend afternoon.100 N Tennessee St. McKinney, Texas 75069 972-562-2929
Cafe Malaga is McKinney’s Spanish tapas place with a beautiful backyard under the oak trees. With live music on the weekends, this is a fantastic place to get out and enjoy a sampling of Spanish delights and a glass of sangria.107 South Church Street

A little off the beaten track, Petra has some amazing food and a great little patio. A dish of guacamole prepared tableside, hot, crispy chips and a salty margarita (plus or minus the hibiscus swirl) make this patio the perfect spot to enjoy a little happy hour. Or happy two hours.1751 W. Eldorado Parkway, Suite 300 McKinney, TX 75069 972.984.1981
If wine is more your style, then you are in luck. Landon Winery’s McKinney location has a beautiful patio on the historic downtown square where they serve their award-winning Texas-made wines. Enjoy live music on Friday or Saturday night as you sip your gold-medal winning 2010 Tempranillo under the stars. That’s a hard to beat if you ask me!101 N. Kentucky Street
