Hello everyone, we are back from a long spring break on the slopes (and a few days of recovery) and excited to enjoy spring in McKinney, TX! This weekend is loaded with music in McKinney so we’ve got some great ideas for you.
Start the weekend off right by joining the McKinney crowd for the Night Moves 5K (you don’t need to run at all!). A 5k run followed by a concert by the Maylee Thomas Band will benefit the Love Life Foundation. The foundation provides aid to local agencies that fight child abuse. The Guitar Sanctuary will host, food and beer will be served, and everyone will be entertained.
A $10 donation to the Love Life Foundation gets non-runners in for all the fun at 6:30 tonight. If you want to run in the 5K, head over to the Guitar Sanctuary before 6 pm to register and pick up your race packet.Night Moves 5K Friday Night, March 21, 2014 at 6:30pm.

With weekly offerings focusing on different instrument families, this series is perfect for everyone in the family, and a great way to introduce children ages 3-10 to the symphony.
During the pre-concert activities starting at 2:15, you and your children can enjoy an instrument “petting zoo”, arts and crafts and an opportunity to be a conductor! The concert starts at 3:00 pm and this week’s focus will be on the brass family.
